As many of you might already know, I started my broadcasting career in radio. Over a two-year period at one of the radio stations at which I was employed, I made over 600 short daily devotional broadcasts during times that the station set aside for prayer, however, none of the audio devotionals were ever formally recorded or saved for later broadcast. But, while at home, my wife, Toni, would record some of the devotional broadcasts to listen to them when her hands were not busy with activities involving our small children.
Recently, Toni was cleaning the house and came upon some cassette tape recordings of my audio devotional messages from over twenty years ago. As technology has changed, it is now very difficult to find a cassette tape player, so with concern that these messages would be lost forever, Toni asked me to transfer, from cassette tape to audio CD, the only copies ever recorded of those devotional messages, perhaps to share them with our children. But after listening to the messages, it was decided that they might be an encouragement to anyone who could hear them, even now, over twenty years later. If not for my wife, Toni, who recorded these messages for her personal listening pleasure, all of the messages would be lost forever. Out of over 600 messages, only 21 of them have survived. These faith-building messages were designed to focus our attention on the Word of God as we come to God in prayer. Make your prayer request and listen to an encouraging message as well.
